Burgess Hill Town hadn’t won in their previous seven League matches, but were hopeful of stopping that run as they welcomed Hashtag United. The visitors tried to give their hosts a helping hand midway through the first half, Joe Christou dismissed, and soon afterwards Chris Whelpdale put the Hillians ahead. Wheldale added a second early in the second half, and late in the match we had two more red cards, one for each side, as Jason Ring departed for the Tags and Martyn Box took an early shower for the Hillians. We had no more goals, however- Hill climbing above their visitors into fourteenth.
