Burgess Hill Town were very much looking forward to the arrival of Whitehawk, the Brighton side travelling up the A23. The Hillians were hoping for a third win in a row and a fourth unbeaten match; whilst the Hawks wanted to bounce back from midweek defeat at Dartford. The opening goal arrived deep in added time at the end of the first half, and it went to the hosts, Stefan Vukoje with it- and they quickly had another, Chris Whelpdale from the spot thirteen minutes after half time. Ten minutes before the end Nathan Cooper set up a grandstand finish by pulling a goal back for the visitors, and deep into added time the travelling fans were rewarded for their patience, Destiny Ojo earning a point on his debut.
