Hubble back with the Gulls
Conor Hubble returns to Canvey Island
Canvey Island had a rather familiar face in their squad as they took on Cray Wanderers on Saturday, as they celebrated a return to the seaside for club legend Conor Hubble.
Conor has been turning out for Pitching In Isthmian North newcomers Stanway Rovers this season, making sixteen appearances- but prior to that he was one of the first names on the teamsheet for the Gulls.
The midfielder made forty five appearances last season, scoring three times. The 23-24 season brought forty three appearances and nine goals, and 22-23 saw him play forty eight times as the Gulls reached the Premier Play Off Semi-Final, with ten goals.
During 21-22 he helped the Gulls to North Division promotion via the Play offs, and he scored sixteen goals in forty one appearances- as well as being named in our Team of the Year. There was also six goals in what we had of the 20-21 campaign, his twelve appearances ending with the FA Cup Second Round.
Prior to his time as a Gull, Conor played for Maldon and Tiptree, Coggeshall Town, Colchester United, Leiston and Billericay Town.
