Isthmian League round-up | Dulwich Hamlet hit six on opening weekend

The Hamlet produced a stunning performance in front of more than 1,400 supporters at Champion Hill, racing into an unassailable five-goal lead by half-time.

After the break there was a further goal from Sol Baugh before the hour mark, capping off a commanding display on the opening weekend.

Another side that flexed their prowess in front of goal were Enfield Town, who scored four without reply away at Lewes.

Back in the Isthmian ranks after two seasons in the National League South, they wasted little time in getting reaccustomed with the division.

Ayo Tanimowo, Thomas Avgoustidi and Luke Deslandes fired the Towners into a three-goal first-half lead.

That advantage was extended six minutes from time as Shiloh Remy came off the bench to wrap up the win.

Elsewhere, St Albans City recorded an impressive 3-1 win at home to last season's play-off semi-finalists Chatham Town.

Goals shortly before half-time from Kieran Petrie and Mikey Faulkner had the hosts two up, before James Wild and Jake Gray exchanged quickfire goals early in the second half.

It would remain 3-1 until the end, earning the Saints all three points on Matchday 1.

There were 2-0 wins for Brentwood Town, Carshalton Athletic and Welling United, as all three teams got their season underway on a positive note.

Beaten play-off finalists last season, Brentwood ensured there would be no hangover as goals in either half from Bradley Sach and Nat Mardell saw them past Burgess Hill Town.

Carshalton also scored in either half to defeat newly-promoted AFC Whyteleafe on the road.

Welling were forced to leave it late to secure three points of their own, taking the lead in the 81st minute through Chris Arthur before Nahum Melvin-Lambert came off the bench to score their all-important second in stoppage time.

At Jubilee Walk, Dartford denied newly-promoted Three Bridges a win on the opening weekend by coming from two goals down to earn a 3-2 victory.

Charlie Bennett's first-half double had the home side seemingly in control, before Ben Greenhalgh pulled one back on the stroke of half-time.

Joe Tennent equalised just after the hour mark for Dartford, and two minutes later the turnaround was complete, courtesy of Max Fiddes.

The opening day's only other win went the way of Leatherhead, whose return to Step 3 was marked by a 2-1 win a Ramsgate.  

Kofi Anoyke-Boadi smashed the visitors ahead with eight minutes gone, and it remained that way until a flurry of activity in first-half stoppage time saw Harry Murphy make it 2-0 before Ramsgate's Callum Jones reduced the arrears.

There were no further goals after the break, with Leatherhead producing a solid defensive display to make sure that the points would be returning to Surrey.

Aveley, second-placed finishers last season, kicked off their campaign with an entertaining 2-2 draw at home to Eastbourne Borough.

The Millers twice came from behind to earn a share of the spoils - the second equaliser scored by substitute Toby Aromolaran two minutes from time.

The points were also shared between Wingate & Finchley and Cray Wanderers, who played out a 1-1 draw.

The final game of the weekend in the Isthmian Premier between Cheshunt and newly-promoted Stanway Rovers ended level at Theobalds Lane.
