Johnson of the Nuts and Bolts
Archie Johnson swaps Sheppey for Ashford
Ashford United have brought in Sheppey United's Supporters and Players Player of the Year, Archie Johnson.
Defender Archie made forty three appearances for the Ites last season, and ended the 24-25 campaign at Whitehawk, playing ten times after moving to the seaside from Bowers and Pitsea.
He moved to the Len Salmon in November 2024, and made twenty appearances. He joined Bowers from Cray Wanderers, a second spell as a Wand, and also had a spell at Whitstable Town.
Archie moved back to Wands from Margate. He moved to the Kent coast in the summer of 2023 after sweeping all before him for Beckenham Town in the South East Division during the 22-23 campaign, and played thirty four times for Gate before his return to Cray.
He was in our South East Team of the Season at the end of the 22-23 campaign, won Supporters, Managers and Players Player of the Season awards, and made forty one appearances as Becks made their way to the Play Off Semi Final.
Prior to his time with Beckenham he was with Welling United for a number of years after starting off in the youth ranks.
