Keeper Turner makes a winning start for the Millers
Charlie Turner is new at Aveley
Aveley gave a debut to goalkeeper Charlie Turner in victory at St Albans City on Saturday- and the keeper had a positive start, making a particularly fine double save to keep the Saints at bay. He'll be happy to begin with a clean sheet, too.
You'll remember Charlie from his time with Brightlingsea Regent, who were then in our top flight.
Charlie joined Regent in June 2019, and played thirty eight times before covid ended the 19-20 campaign, before another ten appearances before 20-21 fell over. 21-22 brought forty three appearances, there were forty three more during 22-23, and four last season, too.
He joined Regent from Stansted, where he had won two cups, the Essex Senior League Golden Glove Award, and the Player of the Season Award. He was back with Stansted during 23-24.
