Matty Macarthur reinforces Chatham Town

Chatham Town have strengthened their attack with the signing of winger Matty Macarthur.

After arriving from his native Australia, Matty played youth football for Southampton and Gillingham, and whilst a Gill came our way on loan, playing for Margate and Sheppey United during the 22-23 campaign. He made fourteen appearances for the Blues, scoring in a draw against Brightlingsea Regent, and five for the Ites, scoring once.

He went on to have loan spells at a higher level for Dartford and Tonbridge Angels, and after leaving the Gills spent last season with Farnborough. This season has seen him with Enfield Town and, in our South Central Division with Hanworth Villa, where he has played three times this month, the last of those appearances in Saturday's win over Binfield.
