Gary McCann takes the top job at St Albans City

St Albans City prepared for the weekend by bringing in a new manager- and he is a rather familiar face. A big welcome back to the Pitching In Isthmian League goes to Gary McCann, who of course took Billericay Town to within one goal of the title last season.

Gary took over at New Lodge at the end of the 22-23 campaign, but surprisingly departed the club in September.

He previously spent thirteen years at Hendon, both as a player and a manager, and was also in charge at National League South side Hampton and Richmond Borough for two seasons in between the Greens and the Blues.

He replaces  Ian Culverhouse, who left the club at the end of last month.
