Newson and Garzon are a new pair of Rooks
Calum Newson and Brian Garzon arrive at Lewes
Lewes have strengthened their attacking options with the arrivals of Calum Newson and Brian Garzon.
Calum was at Canvey Island last season, playing thirty three times and scoring four goals. He returned to the UK after a few successful years playing college football in the US, with Kentucky Wesleyan College Panthers, and has also been an Academy player at Leyton Orient.
Brian is a player you might remember from spells with Wingate and Finchley, Bowers and Pitsea and Walton and Hersham, and he spent last season with Walthamstow, scoring nineteen goals in forty three appearances.
Brian joined Wingate in the summer of 2024, making two appearances. He went on to join Bowers in September 2024 but doesn't seem to have played at all, and was quickly found at Hertford Town, a club he had also played for during 23-24.
He was previously a Southend United youth, and you might remember him playing for Walton and Hersham as they progressed towards Pitching In Isthmian South Central promotion a few years ago. where he made eight appearances and scored two goals.
