Nzala new in Blue

Wingate and Finchley have announced the arrival of Ashley Nzala.

Ashley was with Cray Wanderers last season, playing twenty one times and scoring twice. 

He was previously part of the Billericay Town side which came so close to promotion during the 24-25 season, making fifty appearances and scoring nine goals. He joined the Blues in the summer of 2024 from Chatham Town.

Ashley played an enormous part in the Chats Premier Division title challenge during the 23-24 season, making forty four appearances, scoring fourteen goals, and assisting many more. He also played eleven times in the closing stages of the 22-23 season, helping his side to clinch the Pitching In isthmian South East title.

Ashley joined the Chats after spending time at Dulwich Hamlet, then a National League South side. Whilst with Hamlet he spent time on a dual registration deal with Canvey Island, where he played eleven times between December 22 and February 23.

Ashley was magnificent for Brentwood Town during the 21-22 season, coming in from his position on the wing to score fourteen goals as Town charged into the top five. He also appeared for Great Wakering Rovers and Cheshunt during that season, and previously played for Hanwell Town, Burgess Hill Town and Southall.

He also played briefly for Margate, playing twice and scoring once.
