Ike Orji makes a move to Folkestone Invicta

As we approached the weekend, Folkestone Invicta took time off from promoting the reopening of their fabulous stadium to announce the signing of Ike Orji from Billericay Town.

Defender Ike first came to prominence at Chatham Town, after playing youth football there and at Maidstone United. He made the Chats first team when they were still an SCEFL side, and quickly adapted to our League, attracting professional attention and signing for Gillingham in the summer of 2023.

Whilst a Gill he had loan spells at both Welling United and Hemel Hempstead Town, and then last summer signed for Chelmsford City, but he was a claret for almost no time at all before heading our way with Cray Wanderers. He went on to play thirty nine times for Wands, mainly in the number two shirt, and scored one goal.

He joined Billericay in the summer, and has played seven times.
