Pitching In Isthmian Supporters Predictions 26-27: Carshalton Athletic

We asked supporters of our Pitching In Isthmian League clubs to preview the new season, reflect on the old and predict the final outcome. Their predicted 1-22 will be worked into a final table which you will see just before the big kick off.  

Thinking about last season, what were your highlights?

Last season was definitely a mixed bag. Would have to go with the win at Lewes on remembrance day and of course confirming safety on the final day with a 1-0 win against St Albans.

And what was the worst moment?

Not necessarily a moment but the winless run we had from November 11th to March 7th. A 4 month run which seemed to be more like 4 years.

Which member of your squad was your Player of the Season - and why?

Will have to go for Luke Read who’s now at Brentwood. Was always a bright spot in the team delivering 7/10 performances, even when he went in goal!

Moving on to your current squad - which players do you think will make a big impact during the 26/27 campaign?

I think as a fanbase we are excited by the striker partnership we have in store with Nathan Young Coombes and Tope Fadahunsi, and hopefully with Ben Dudzinski taking the number 1 shirt that role becomes less of a revolving door.

Realistically, how do you think you’ll do this season?

Mid table pushing for that final play off spot in 7th. Anything on top of that will definitely be a bonus.

If you could choose a song for your side to run our to, what would it be- and why?

‘Lets Go’ by Key Glock- the censored version of course. Great hype song, for the gym gets me ready to run through a wall.

From all the opposition players you watched last season, which one would you love to see in your side- and why?

Now that he is at Brentwood I would like Luke Read back in the side.

What is your favourite Isthmian away ground?

Think this may be a left field shout but Welling United for me was a great ground. Something about it struck me.

If you travelled away, which ground served the best food?

Chichester always hits right, sad that they will not be one of our stops this season.
