Pitching In Isthmian Supporters Predictions 26-27: Lewes

We asked supporters of our Pitching In Isthmian League clubs to preview the new season, reflect on the old and predict the final outcome. Their predicted 1-22 will be worked into a final table which you will see just before the big kick off.

Thinking about last season, what were your highlights?

Due to ill health, I missed the bulk of the season. I came back in time to see us climb clear of relegation with 2 draws & 2 wins in our last 4 home games. We showed good character to stay up. 

And what was the worst moment?

Though Folkestone were a superb team in the division last season, losing 5-0 & 6-0. No one wants to see one drubbing let alone two. 

Which member of your squad was your Player of the Season - and why?

Devonte West, his goals definitely helped us stay up. 

Moving on to your current squad - which players do you think will make a big impact during the 26/27 campaign?

Jack Enkh, really hope he has an injury free season. 

Realistically, how do you think you’ll do this season?

Craig seems to have built a solid team during pre season, hopefully this continues. Hoping we have a goalscorer or two in the ranks to push us into the top half on the league. 

If you could choose a song for your side to run our to, what would it be- and why?

Motorhead, The Game. Opening lyrics are "It's all about the game, and how you play it. It's all about control, and if you can take it". Sums up football/sport up perfectly. 

From all the opposition players you watched last season, which one would you love to see in your side- and why?

Jake Hutchinson, Folkestone Invicta. Goal machine scoring 24 goals last season, 4 of those coming against us. 

What is your favourite Isthmian away ground?

Margate. Always get a nice welcome from their staff & volunteers. 

If you travelled away, which ground served the best food?

Dulwich Hamlet. Great choice of food all around the ground.
