Pitching In Isthmian Supporters Predictions 26-27: Wingate & Finchley

We asked supporters of our Pitching In Isthmian League clubs to preview the new season, reflect on the old and predict the final outcome. Their predicted 1-22 will be worked into a final table which you will see just before the big kick off. 

Thinking about last season, what were your highlights?

Aside from winning the Velocity Cup, 3 highlights spring to mind. Billy Cracknell’s assist in the 5-0 win at Brentwood; VCD Athletic away in the Trophy which was the first game back following the passing of Billy Vigor,  and Lewes at home- the first home game since the tragedy.

And what was the worst moment?

A 1-1 draw at Canvey which was the Tuesday after the 5-0 win at Brentwood.

Which member of your squad was your Player of the Season - and why?

Gianluca Botti for his goals-so good luck at Dartford Luca. 

Moving on to your current squad - which players do you think will make a big impact during the 26/27 campaign?

If they stay fit then i am sure Camilo Restrepo (of Ballers League fame) and Caolian Mcgettigan will provide goals. 

Realistically, how do you think you’ll do this season?

Mid table.

If you could choose a song for your side to run our to, what would it be- and why?

Only one, Sweet child o mine by Guns and Roses. It was the song that Barnet came out to at Underhill and it has that wow factor. The best introduction ever.

From all the opposition players you watched last season, which one would you love to see in your side- and why?

Reece Butler of Chatham, an excellent defender and excellent captain.

What is your favourite Isthmian away ground?

Folkestone Invicta, who have the best programme shop.

If you travelled away, which ground served the best food?

Lewes- specifically the pizza.
