Croydon Athletic head to Midhurst in the FA Cup
AFC Croydon Athletic might have got a Saturday off, but they have to work on Sunday instead, as they travel to take on SCFL side Midhurst and Easebourne in the FA Cup.
The Rams have had a slow start to the campaign by their standards, two two-one defeats against Sittingbourne and Hastings followed by victory over Sevenoaks Town in midweek, also with a two-one scoreline. They will hope that the win over Oaks will kick start their campaign, and they will travel with confidence- and a hope that they can progress beyond the Second Qualifying Round, as that- last season- is the furthest the club have progressed in either this or their previous iteration.
Their hosts sit in ninth place in the SCFL Premier, and will be no pushovers, having won four of their five matches in League and Cups so far this season. They also won in midweek, defeating Roffey.
