Tags boss to step down at the end of the season
Jay Devereux to leave his role at Hashtag United
Pitching In Isthmian Premier side Hashtag United have announced that manager Jay Devereux will step down from his role at the end of the season- but they hope he will remain with the club nonetheless.
Jay has been in charge of the Tags for eight years, and has overseen three promotions during that period. They also won the EE Wembley Cup- a charity tournament- back in 2017. They celebrated their tenth anniversary last month.
The announcement comes with the Tags one point clear of the Premier drop zone with one match to play- and with their position in the pyramid also uncertain due to their requested relegation. They have asked that they be relegated to Step Four no matter where they finish the campaign, but that is a decision for the FA and is, as yet, unconfirmed.
Jay's final match in charge sees them host Dulwich Hamlet on Saturday. That will also be their final home match at Parkside, as they move in with Redbridge next season.
