Zac Whitelock, Jamie Mascoll and Jordy Luchies are new arrivals at Ashford United
We're catching up with transfer news from the start of the season, and Ashford United were busy, bringing in Zac Whitelock, Jamie Mascoll and Jordy Luchies.
Jamie came in after winning promotion -twice- with AFC Whyteleafe, where he played forty four times and scored six goals last season. He was previously at Folkestone Invicta, Folkestone Invicta have announced the arrival of Jamie Mascoll, playing twenty two times for Folkestone Invicta before heading to Leafe. He ended the 23-24 campaign at Chatham Town, playing sixteen times after a move from Cray Wanderers.
Jamie returned to Hayes Lane in the summer of 2023 for a second spell with Wands, moving from Hornchurch, and made thirty one Wands appearances. He joined the Urchins in March 22, and played eight times in the closing stages of the campaign, as his new club finished the season in second place before Play Off Final defeat.
He moved to Bridge Avenue from Lewes, joining the Rooks in early October 21 and making twenty five appearances- contributing three goals- after arriving at the Dripping Pan from National League side Wealdstone.
Jamie also has previous Isthmian experience at Dulwich Hamlet, Wands, Phoenix Sports and Grays Athletic, but has also played much higher, at Bolton Wanderers and Wycombe Wanderers. He also played in Ireland for Waterford.
Zac comes in on loan from Gillingham. Forward Zac came through the Academy at the Gills, and is rather highly rated. He signed his first apprentice contract in the summer of 2024 and has been part of the first team squad during pre-season.
Defender Jordy Luchies comes in after playing college football in the USA. He started his career playing youth football in his native Netherlands for Emmen FC, before moving across the pond with Loyola Greyhounds in Maryland. He also had a spell with FC Baltimore Christos.
