Ben Wells makes a Hashtag United debut
Hashtag had a debutant as they took on Wingate and Finchley in midweek, Ben Wells making his first appearance.
Ben played youth and Under 18 football for West Ham United before leaving East London for West London and swapping claret and blue for the hoops of Queens Park Rangers. Whilst playing for the Super Hoops he spent loan time at Concord Rangers, and after leaving Loftus Road he ended up playing National League South football for Welling United. Crawley Town signed him prior to the start of the 22-23 season, and he was immediately thrust into their squad, where he made nine appearances, notably in the Carabao Cup Second Round win over Premier League Fulham, where he emerged from the bench during the second half, and in the subsequent Third Round defeat at Burnley, where he started.
He then moved on to Billericay Town, making twenty appearances at the start of the 23-24 season, before a return to Welling in the summer of 2024. He joined Hastings in December and made nineteen appearances at the tail end of last season, and started this campaign at Margate, playing twice, before a brief stop at Cray Wanderers.
