Winfield of the Rams

Ramsgate have announced the arrival of centre back Dave Winfield from National League side Hornchurch.

Defender Dave has played nearly all of his football at a significantly higher level. He came through the youth ranks at Aldershot Town before becoming part of the first team squad for a number of years, and after leaving the Rec he moved to Wycombe Wanderers. Spells at Shrewsbury Town and York City followed before he headed South once more to join Ebbsfleet United, where he was a National League South promotion winner.

Since leaving Fleet he has had two spells at Chelmsford City, a season with Welling United, and also played for Bromley and, most recently, Hornchurch. Whilst an Urchin he had a loan spell at Dartford in February, playing four times.
