Brentwood blunt the Wings revival
Second place Brentwood Town were on the road, Welling United their hosts. The Blues were looking for a third win in a row, whilst their hosts, nine points from safety, were hoping to return to winning ways after their one hundred and second minute defeat at Lewes the previous weekend.
Brentwood went ahead from the spot on fourteen minutes, Kymani Thomas making no mistake, and eleven minutes later they added another, Charlee Hughes doubling the lead. If Hughes enjoyed that one, he was celebrating once more almost immediately, making it three-nil. Just before the hour Bradley Sach got a goal back, but the last word went to the visitors, Jesse Olukolu making it four-one eight minutes from time. Brentwood remain eleven points behind the leaders, but are six points clear of third place Chatham Town.
