Read new in Blue

Brentwood Town have announced an agreement to sign Luke Read, who makes a move from Carshalton Athletic.

Defender Luke has spent most of his career with the Robins, with the only gap in the last few years the season he spent at Merstham- 22-23- where he played thirty four times, and was named the Player of the season and Managers Player of the Season. He made his debut for Athletic in the winter of 2018 and became a crucial component in the side which reached the Premier Play Off Semi-Finals that season, and then reached the FA Cup First Round in 19-20. 

After that season at Merstham he was quickly back at Colston Avenue, playing forty one times and scoring eight goals during 23-24, forty seven times with four goals during 24-25, and thirty nine times with five goals (including one against his new club) last season. 

Prior to his time with the Robins, Luke was in the USA, playing for- and studying at- Northern Illinois University.
