Title winner Orji makes a Dartford move
Folkestone man Ikechukwu Orji becomes a Dart
Dartford brought in Ikechukwu Orji shortly prior to Saturday's match against Welling United, and gave him an immediate debut on Saturday.
Defender Ike first came to prominence at Chatham Town, after playing youth football there and at Maidstone United. He made the Chats first team when they were still an SCEFL side, and quickly adapted to our League, attracting professional attention and signing for Gillingham in the summer of 2023.
Whilst a Gill he had loan spells at both Welling United and Hemel Hempstead Town, and then in the summer of 2024 signed for Chelmsford City, but he was a claret for almost no time at all before heading our way with Cray Wanderers. He went on to play thirty nine times for Wands, mainly in the number two shirt, and scored one goal.
He joined Billericay in the summer of 2025, and played seven times before heading to Folkestone Invicta in October. He went on to play eighteen times for the Stripes, helping them to take our Premier Division title.
