Bray in hospital after match abandoned

Hampton & Richmond Borough

Hampton & Richmond Borough's Ryman Premier clash at home to the Metropolitan Police was abandoned on Wednesday night after defender Alan Bray was rushed to hospital with a broken arm.

The 27-year-old hurt his left arm 26 minutes into the 7.45 kick off and was treated on the pitch at the Beveree for more than an hour by St John's Ambulance medics. By the time the former Sutton United defender was taken away by ambulance at approximately 9.45pm, match officials had abandoned hopes of re-starting the action.

Hampton & Richmond Borough were leading 1-0 thanks to Charlie Moone's third minute goal before Bray's injury.
