Cobblers keeper joins Carshalton

Northampton Town keeper Dean Snedker is in line to make his Ryman Premier debut after joining Carshalton Athletic on a month's loan.

Snedker, 18, progressed through the League 2 outfit's youth system, making his professional debut in a League Cup victory over Cardiff City in August 2012.

The talented teenager was called up to the England U19 squad in January this year before making his international debut the following month against Denmark.

Cobblers manager Aidy Boothroyd backed him to be a success at Colston Avenue. He said: "He needs first team football to help with his development and I am sure he will do well for Carshalton."

The Robins are away to Cray Wanderers on Saturday at Bromley's Hayes Lane.
