Precision Goalkeeping Golden Gloves Awards

Harrow Borough keeper Nicky Jupp, Harlow Town's Andrew Walker and Jack Delo at Herne Bay were named as March's winners of the Precision Gloves awards.

Harrow's Jupp, already a popular figure at the club after winning the supporters' player of the year award in 2011 during a previous spell at Earlsmead, will collect Precision Goalkeeping's top flight award after playing a key role in their battle against relegation.

The 25-year-old, who returned to the club in October and has also played for Shepshed Dynamo, Hinckley United, St Albans City, Barnet and Aldershot, conceded just three times in six outings, his performances proving to be the foundation for collecting 14 precious points from four wins and two draws in six outings.

Delo wins his first honour of the campaign in Ryman South for posting arguably the best record of all the division's monthly winners, one goal during a run of a draw, three wins on the road, and a single 1-0 defeat at the hands of champions Burgess Hill Town at Winch's Field.

The 29-year-old, the cousin of manager Sam Denly, returned to the club in 2013 after five years and more than 200 appearances at Folkestone Invicta. Delo previously played for Bay in 2007-08 before a short spell at Ramsgate.

Former Colchester United, St Albans City, Exeter City, Tonbridge Angels, Doncaster Rovers, Wingate & Finchley, Bromley Town, Maidstone United, Billericay, Maidstone United and Cray Wanderers keeper Walker only joined the Hawks in February from Thurrock.

The 33-year-old made an almost immediate impact to win March's award in Ryman North, the stopper keeping two clean sheets and conceding just two goals in four victories for Danny Chapman's promotion-chasing side.

The monthly 'safe hands' awards are sponsored by Nottingham-based Reydon Sports PLC, the UK's largest sports and leisure wholesale and distribution company. Through their Precision Goalkeeping brand, the stoppers will each receive a pair of Precision Goalkeeping gloves provided by ProKit UK, the nominated retailer administering the awards.

As an extra bonus for the Ryman League’s 72 clubs, since January the sponsors have also been offering all clubs a 30 per cent discount on training aids until the end of the campaign.

Precision Goalkeeping boast an impressive list of keeping talent on their books including Kasper Schmeichel, Kieren Westwood, Tomasz Kuszczak, Darren Randolph, David Forde, Frank Fielding, Brian Jensen, Robert Olejnik, Andy Lonergan, Ian McLoughlin, Trevor Carson and Republic of Ireland goalkeeping coach and former international Alan Kelly.

Former England manager Graham Taylor is lead ‘brand ambassador’ for the company which was established in 2005 and also has official partnerships with the Irish Football Association and the Football Association of Wales.
