Kingstonian improved their play-off challenge hopes in the Ryman Premier with a comfortable 3-0 win over struggling Lewes at Kingsmeadow on Monday night, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Recent signing Charlie Penny gave the K's a 35th minute lead when he was left unmarked from a free-kick and he headed home past Rikki Banks.

The Welling United loanee eventually doubled his and Kingstonian's tally after 74 minutes when some sloppy play at the back saw Penny profit to beat Banks. And it was game over five minutes from time when substitute Jesse Darko scored on the break.

Things got even worse for the visitors in stoppage time when defender Sam Crabb was sent-off for a second yellow card, having received his first just a minute or so earlier.

The defeat leaves the Rooks precariously hovering just four points above the drop zone.

* Charlie Moone scored the winning goal against Dulwich Hamlet on Sunday as Hampton & Richmond Borough built on last weekend's win over Harrow Borough with a 1-0 home success and three points.

In-form Dulwich Hamlet - who have won seven of their past eight games - were beaten by Moone's strike five minutes before the break.

Despite their best efforts after the interval, Karl Rose's promotion-chasers couldn't find a way back as the Beavers backline stood firm.
