VCD Athletic are looking for pre-season friendly opponents as new manager Keith McMahon prepares for the upcoming Ryman Premier campaign.

Former Thamesmead manager McMahon succeeded Tony Russell at Oakwood in April and Vickers officials say he is looking for an away fixture on Tuesday 21 July, preferably against a team from Ryman North or South.

For more information clubs should contact Vickers secretary Brian Norris at bnorris9@btinternet.com.

A recharged McMahon, pictured with Vickers chairman Gary Rump following his appointment, stood down as Thamesmead manager back in January after taking the Ryman North club from the Kent League to the Ryman's top flight during his eleven years at Bayliss Avenue.

At the time the 42-year-old said he needed a break from the game but has been keeping his hand in since as a guest presenter on the Ryman Round-up Show, the two hour weekly phone-in show on Thursday nights for fans, players and officials on community station Hawks Radio.

McMahon kicked off his touchline career at Oakwood coaching VCD's U18s.
