Transfer Deadline Day: A gang of Dockers!

By Ian Townsend

Tilbury bring in four

Tilbury, in Bostik North, are twenty four points from a Playoff spot and eighteen points from relegation, so it's safe to say that supporters at Chadfields can relax and look forward to next season.

One person who certainly isn't relaxing, however, is Dockers manager Marc Harrison- as yesterday he made FOUR transfer deadline day signings!

First in came Marcus Bowers from Great Wakering Rovers. The forward has made eleven appearances for Rovers this season, scoring three goals. Next came Manny Ighorae, who has been plying his trade for high-flying Merstham in the Bostik Premier Division, making eight appearances- all but one from the bench. The midfielder also turned out for Barking earlier this season, playing six times, and previously played for Concord Rangers, Dartford and Hanwell Town, amongst others.

Signing number three also arrived from our Premier Division- from Harlow Town to be exact. Harry Watkins has made thirteen appearances this season for the Hawks, his most recent start coming in a February defeat to Folkestone Invicta. Last season he made a handful of appearances for Aveley.

Finally, Connor Wheatley signed from Harrison's former club, Basildon United. Keeper Wheatley made sixteen appearances for the Bees this season, after being a colossus as the club- under Harrison- finished second in the Essex Senior League last season to win promotion.

Tilbury travel to Aveley tomorrow.

Where next?
