Wednesday's Ryman North review

Burnham Ramblers climbed into the top half of the Ryman North table on Wednesday night after edging out Waltham Forest in a five-goal thriller at Wadham Lodge, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Bradley Nobbs gave Burnham the lead in the only game to beat the weather after 18 minutes before Leon Fisher levelled the scores after excellent work from L'Hereaux Menga to get to the bye-line and cut the ball back. Leon Scott put Forest ahead after 36 minutes, a lead the home side held until half-time and then had chances to increase after the break.

But Forest were punished for their wastefulness in front of goal, Burnham levelling with a volley from outside the box from Marc Gorbell in the 79th minute. Then, just four minutes later, slack defending from a long throw saw Neil Richmond complete the comeback and seal Ramblers' victory.
