A Barking trio

Three more additions to Justin Gardner's squad

Over the course of the day Barking have repeatedly interrupted our viewing of the cricket by announcing new signings. They always seem to do this in threes, and sometimes more, so we've deliberately delayed telling you to allow them to finish their transfer business- we hope!

First in is Albert Akinremi, who has actually already made his competitive debut for the Blues, as a substitute in defeat to Marlow. Striker Albert used to play for Wellingborough Town and Bridon Ropes, and scored in a pre-season friendly for Barking against Phoenix Sports.

Next up is goalkeeper Montel Joseph, who previously played for Northwood, Hendon and Dover Athletic amongst others, after starting his career at Bristol City. A Trinidad & Tobago Under 20 and Under 23 international, he spent much of last season at Wembley, but also turned out for the Blues on seven occasions, ending up on the winning side three times. He has already made two appearances this season, against Marlow and Ware.

Finally, in comes Johnny Ashman. The midfielder will be well known to Isthmian League audiences, spending last season at Witham Town- for whom he scored ten goals- and the previous one with Bowers & Pitsea and Cheshunt. He also played for FC Clapton.
