A Bay trio

By Ian Townsend

Troy Williams, Tyler Cox and Joe Denny are new arrivals at Herne Bay

Herne Bay had two new names in their squad during their defeat against Sevenoaks Town on Saturday, and a third is waiting in the wings.

Troy Williams is a right back who has most recently been in the Pitching In Isthmian Premier Division with Merstham. He has also spent time with Three Bridges, Tooting & Mitcham United, Merstham again, Grays Athletic, Lewes, Horsham and Walton & Hersham. He has made twenty four appearances for the Moatsiders this season, scoring once.

Midfielder Tyler Cox has most recently been with Ashford Town in the Pitching In Isthmian South Central Division, but he only played once, as a substitute in defeat against Westfield in January. He has also spent time with Lingfield in the SCEFL.

Joe Denny wasn't in the squad on Saturday, but the defender moves rather a long way, from Coggeshall Town, who he only joined in January and for whom he made eight appearances. He will be well known to the Bay faithful nonetheless, as he was previously with Ashford United for around ten minutes and with Faversham Town for rather longer, making seventeen appearances this season, and ten in the previous campaign. He was previously with Ebbsfleet United and VCD Athletic.

Where next?
