A Bognor Treble

Bognor Regis Town's side for the win at Canvey Island on Saturday was significantly strengthened by the return to the club of Dan Gifford and Joe Rabbetts.

Dan, a forward, scored ten goals in his twenty six appearances last season, and moves to the club on loan from Farnborough. He also got ten- in twenty five- during the 21-22 campaign, on both occasions on loan from Portsmouth. He has also previously spent time on loan at Weymouth.

Joe, a defender, came through the Academy setup at Aldershot Town, having loans away from the Rec with Met Police and Totton before moving to Dorking Wanderers in the summer of last year. He was immediately loaned to the Rocks and his performances were one of the high points of a rather mixed 22-23 season, one which ended with him playing forty one times. He went back to Wanderers in the summer, spent time on loan at Dartford, and made a second Bognor debut on Saturday.

Striker Brad signed permanently for the Rocks in 2020, after being released by Portsmouth. He'd spent much of the previous two seasons on loan at Nyewood Lane, making twenty eight appearances and scoring seven goals- despite suffering a collection of injuries- during 19-20, and twelve goals in thirty nine appearances during 2018-19. he had five goals in ten matches befiore the 20-21 campaign slammed shut, and played eleven times in the first half of last season before leaving. He has also spent time with Gosport Borough, Horndean and Pagham, the last two on loan.
