New lease agreed- new 3G pitch coming next

Bostik North side Barking have released some exciting news- they have been granted a thirty year lease on their Mayesbrook Park home, and at the end of the season will begin turning the ground into a true community asset with the installation of a 3G pitch in time for the start of next season.

Chairman Rob O'Brien announced the news. "On the 22nd January 2019 Barking FC received the long-awaited news that it’s 30-year lease application had been approved. What this means for the Club and it’s ever growing community is that the club can invest & modernise its facilities. This is a very exciting time for all involved, we can finally shape our future and allow the demand for growth to happen that we have had to resist for quite a while.

We have been working on a number of community projects with the local authority for quite a few years. They have seen the value of supporting good local clubs by granting this long-term lease. The first steps are already underway & plans to develop a first class "Pro Standard playing surface & Stadia" are very much on the agenda.
