A debut to remember for Paine

Prior to Saturday's match against Ashford Town, Chertsey Town announced the signing of Uxbridge midfielder Alex Paine. Alex made a second half debut for the Curfews, and played a part as his new side won the match six-one.

Alex had been with Uxbridge for three-and-a-bit seasons, playing four times during the current campaign, thirty five times last season, six times during the- rather short- 2020-21 season and thirty three times during the unfinished 2019-20 campaign. He previously spent many years with Chalfont St Peter, and a rather shorter time with North Greenford United.
