Burgess Hill Town gave a winning debut to Jake Goodman on Tuesday night, and he'll have been delighted with three points and a clean sheet as the Hillians defeated Ashford United. He moves to Mid Sussex from Folkestone Invicta.
Defender Jake came through the youth ranks at Millwall. Whilst at the New Den he had loan spells with Staines Town, AFC Wimbledon, Aldershot Town and Luton Town, and after departing the Lions in 2015 he moved to Margate, who at that point were in National League South. Spells at Braintree Town, Maidenhead United and Bromley followed, and a short spell at Ebsfleet United was followed by two seasons with Dover Athletic.
He signed for Invicta in the summer, and has made seventeen appearances on the Kent coast, scoring two goals. he also spent time in Pitching In Isthmian South East, on loan at Sittingbourne, making ten appearances during August and September.
