A Heath duo

Richard Pingling and Michael Uwezu are new at Haywards Heath Town

Prior to the visit of Corinthian on Saturday, Haywards Heath Town boss Jay Lovett announced his first two additions, with the signings of Richard Pingling and Michael Uwezu.

Forward Richard played youth, Under 18 and Under 23 football with Burnley and AFC Wimbledon, before moving into the non league game with Horley Town and Croydon. He spent some time with East Grinstead Town last season, scoring twice in six appearances, before moving on to briefly join his new boss at Burgess Hill Town.

Michael Uwezu, another forward, also played for Lovett at Burgess Hill. He scored seven times in twenty seven matches last season, before moving on to Ashford United in the summer- although he played only once, against his former club. He has since played for Whitstable Town.

Michael began his career as a youth at Arsenal and Fulham, and has played for Lincoln City, Dulwich Hamlet, Northampton Town, Forest Green Rovers and Thamesmead Town, as well as spending a couple of seasons playing in Sweden. He also played for East Grinstead Town.
