A pair of Brickies

By Ian Townsend

Jean-Baptiste Fischer and Alfie Bloomfield are new at Sittingbourne- joining Gabriel Piorkowski and Chris Harris

Jean-Baptiste Fischer, a midfielder, came through the ranks at Paris St Germain, playing for the youth team, the Under 17's and the Under 19's before heading to the USA, where he played University football for Georgetown. A move to the UK and more university football in Swansea followed, before he was snapped up by Wycombe Wanderers.

After a loan spell with Braintree Town he eventually left Wanderers and signed for Oxford City, before spending g the latter half of last season at Hayes & Yeading United.

Forward Alfie Bloomfield moves to Woodstock Park from Pitching In South East rivals Beckenham Town, where he made thirty six appearances. That was his second season with Becks, and he previously spent time with Bromley and AFC Croydon Athletic.

We've also got a couple of Brickies signings to catch up on, as they happened whilst we took a short break. Midfielder Gabriel Piorkowski has played for a number of our clubs, past and present. He worked for his new boss at Braintree Town, and amongst his previous clubs are Basildon United, Heybridge Swifts, Westfield, Northwood, Hayes & Yeading United, Staines Town and Hanwell Town.

Striker Chris Harris spent last season helping Bishop's Stortford to take the Pitching In Isthmian Premier title. He made twenty eight appearances last season and weighed in with five goals- after scoring twelve during 2021-22. He joined the Blues in October 2021 from Halsted Town, where he had a record of better than a goal every two games- fifty seven in one hundred and three appearances.
