A pair of Kingfishers

Jordan Alves and Alfie Saunders debut as Thatcham Town's fine run continues

Thatcham Town have been in superb form of late, and made it six wins from eight with victory over Tooting & Mitcham United on Saturday- a match which saw two players given their debuts.

Jordan Alves is in his second spell with the club. A Reading Academy graduate, he was previously in the Pitching In Southern League with Hartley Wintney and, more recently, North Leigh. Prior to his first spell with the Kingfishers, he also spent time with our current leaders, Basingstoke Town.

Alfie Saunders played Under 18 football for Forest Green Rovers, and spent some time on loan at Basingstoke Town, before joining the Aldershot Town Academy. He played Under 19 football at the Rec, eventually breaking through into the first team and signing a professional contract. More recently he has spent time with Farnborough and Hungerford Town.
