Horsham bring in Met Police marksman Jack Mazzone

Horsham have strengthened their forward line with the arrival of Metropolitan Police striker Jack Mazzone, who leaves Imber Court after four years.

Jack came through the Under 18 setup at Woking, graduating to the first team squad before having his first Isthmian experience with Hendon. He played for Chertsey Town, Godalming Town, Knaphill and Tooting & Mitcham United before moving over to South Park.

He managed fourteen goals during his first season as a boy in blue, and got six in eight matches during the very short (and unfinished) 2020-21 campaign. He was, notably, part of the Met Police side which won the Southern League Premier Play Off's in 2018-19, when he scored the winner in the Final against Poole Town, but his club then had to play a Super Play Off Final (here's hoping that was an experiment never to be repeated) against Tonbridge Angels, a match which Angels won three-two. He also helped fire Met to the Play Off's last season, but again, promotion eluded them.
