A Swifts duo

Danny Nesbitt and Ross Wall are new at Heybridge Swifts

Heybridge Swifts have announced the return to the club of Ross Wall, and the signing of Danny Nesbitt.

Forward Ross only left Swifts at the end of January, after scoring thirteen goals and helping his side to the Third Round of the FA Trophy- scoring the opening goal in that magnificent win over Hereford. He moved to Brentwood Town, and added four more goals before the season ended.

Prior to his time with Swifts, Ross spent some of the 21-22 season with AFC Sudbury, making seventeen appearances, and some with Coggeshall Town, making another thirteen at the start of the campaign and twelve more at the end of it. He had been a big part of the Seed Growers side since before their Isthmian days, scoring regularly in their Thurlow Nunn promotion season and being a first team regular ever since.

He previously played for another side with an AFC ahead of their name, our very own Hornchurch, spending two seasons as an Urchin, and prior to that played for our late lamented Thurrock. Earlier in his career he played for Concord Rangers, Great Wakering Rovers and Maldon & Tiptree.

Danny, a defender, spent the second half of last season along the road at Maldon & Tiptree, where he made seventeen appearances. He joined the Jammers from Stanway Rovers, and was previously with Romford and Witham Town.
