A Velocity loss for Chertsey, and a Velocity win for Southall

By Ian Townsend

Three of our South Central sides were in Velocity Cup action. Here's a very brief summary of the evening.

In Surrey, Felixstowe and Walton United continued their fine form with a two-nil win at Chertsey Town. Zak Brown got the opener after four minutes, Billy Holland made sure just after the hour, and we hope the Seasiders had a trouble free journey home as that’s rather a long midweek trip. The Curfews made five substitutions, perhaps with an eye on Saturday's trip to Walton & Hersham.

In Woking, Westfield welcomed welcomed West Londoners Southall- and were perhaps rather too welcoming, as Hall took victory. All of the goals came out of the break, Lewis Putnam putting the visitors ahead just before the hour and Leonard Farhall getting a second soon afterwards. Bradley Walsh got one back three minutes from time, but that was that.
