All roads lead to Colston Avenue!

With both Ryman Premier clubs still chasing promotion and among the best supported in the league, the turnstiles are expected to be busy from 6pm on Wednesday night when they open at the War Memorial Ground home of the Robins in south London.

The finalists – both bidding to lift the Isthmian League Cup for the first time since Tilbury won the inaugural competition in 1975 - are definitely travelling in numbers to join fans from across the Ryman League at the 7.30pm kick-off.

On Tuesday, the Blues reported that their fans would fill no less than three coaches even before taking into account those making their own way from Essex to Colston Avenue to support Glenn Tamplin, joint manager Justin Gardner and their side.

The Angels, who were also reporting brisk sales for tickets for places on the transport they were laying on, say they are expecting many more to make the shorter distance from Kent to see Steve McKimm's side bidding for glory under their own steam.

Like last season's finalists, both clubs are also looking forward to collecting cup windfalls for their success. In 2016 Kingstonian, pictured lifting the trophy, banked £2500 in prize money as well as their share of the profits from the final with Faversham collecting £1500 in prize money as runners-up. Losing semi-finalists collect £750 while clubs reaching the quarter-finals receive £250.

To reach the final, Billericay Town dispatched Heybridge Swifts in the competition's first round before going on to knock out Tilbury on penalties, Brightlingsea Regent, Worthing and South Park.

Tonbridge kicked off their campaign by beating Folkestone Invicta before knocking out Sittingbourne, Romford on penalties, Needham Market and Dulwich Hamlet in the semi-finals.

As part of the annual efforts to promote the fixture, taking place on the FIFA rated 3G surface at Colston Avenue for the second year running, all 72 Ryman League clubs were sent a pair of complimentary tickets to attend. As always, their fans and other neutrals are also encouraged to see the end of season showpiece fixture.

The Isthmian League Cup, renamed the Alan Turvey Trophy before the start of last season in tribute to former Ryman League chairman and current president Alan Turvey, was sponsored for the first time three seasons ago by Robert Dyas, a subsidiary of the Isthmian League's title sponsors Ryman.

This season's competition has proved to be one of the best supported ever with gates up in every round. The third round and quarter-finals attracted the biggest increases with 24.6 and 74.7 percent increases respectively on last season alone.

Tickets at the turnstiles are priced at £10 for adults, concessions £5 and U16s accompanied by an adult £1.
