Another Westfield triumph- on a day of Westfield triumphs

By Ian Townsend

Two monthly awards and three points at Woking Park

Yesterday was a day of triumphs for Westfield. Manager of the Month for Simon Lane, Golden Gloves for Sonny Wheeler- and last night another three points saw them climb to third in the Pitching In Isthmian South Central table.

Binfield were the visitors, the Moles on their worst run of the season with only one win in six across all competitions- and things got worse for them on thirteen minutes, Florian Envoudou Ada delighting most of those watching on at Woking Park with the opener. Five minutes after the restart Darnell Goather-Braithwaite doubled home advantage, and although Liam Gavin got one back for Binfield with nine minutes remaining, that was that.

That’s fifteen points from their last fifteen for Westfield- and they also finally collected an award they won in August, when our Chair Nick Robinson (pictured with skipper Luke Elliott) presented them with the Performance of the Month Award for their four-nil hammering of Leatherhead.

Congratulations to all at Woking Park.
