Faversham Town have announced the departure of manager Simon Austin, who was only appointed to the role in mid October. Despite signing a large number of new players, the Lilywhites now former boss has been unable to lift his side out of the doldrums. They have won only one of the eight league matches he has overseen, losing the other seven.

Simon was previously manager of the Under 23 side at Maidstone United, but will also be remembered from his time as a player, when he turned out for the likes of Folkestone Invicta and Sittingbourne as well as the Stones. His previous management experience came with Canterbury City and Erith Town in the SCEFL.
