Away day carrot for Rocks

By David Watters

Bognor Regis Town will head to Sutton United in the third round of the FA Trophy as the Ryman League's final flag-bearers in Non-League's showpiece competition if they can overcome Altrincham on Tuesday night.

After beating Maidstone United 1-0 at the Gallagher Stadium in the first round proper back in December, the giant-killers were handed another potential away day and giant-killing chance in Monday lunchtime's draw for the third round proper at Wembley.

Ryman Premier rivals Dulwich Hamlet missed out on a trip to Dover Athletic in the draw after they lost 2-1 at home to Guiseley in the second round proper of the competition on Saturday.

Eight ties were pulled out of the hat at the national stadium with the winners set to collect £7,000 in prize money when they are played over the weekend of Saturday 6 February.

Weather-permitting, the Rocks will kick off against National League Altrincham at 7.45pm at Nyewood Lane.
