Barnes for Staines

The man tasked with rescuing Staines Town's season has been revealed


Staines Town have announced that their new manager is Paul Barnes.

You may remember Paul from his time as manager of Greenwich Borough- he took over there from Gary Alexander and steered the club to the South Division Playoff Semi-Finals, before deciding to walk away after only eighteen matches in charge. Prior to joining Borough he'd been coaching at Ashford United, and he also has coaching experience at Dover, Welling United and Margate.

He has a big job to do, as Town haven’t managed to pick up a victory since November 19th. They come into their match with FC Romania today on the back of six consecutive defeats during which they’ve shipped twenty six goals.
