BetVictor Isthmian League- supporters predictions 2019/20: Tooting & Mitcham Utd

Our next visit is to those who believe that South London is Black and White. The Terror(s)!

We asked supporters of our BetVictor Isthmian League clubs to preview the new season, reflect on the old and predict the final outcome. Their predicted 1-20 (or 22) will be worked into a final table which you will see just before the big kick off.

Tooting & Mitcham United spent last season falling just short whilst becoming a veritable production line for professional footballers. Robert Lagnado thinks this might be their year.

1. What was your favourite moment of last season?

The 3-2 win against Molesey was a beautiful show of skill- and will- from the Terrors to comeback against the Moles.

2. And your worst moment?

The 3-1 defeat to Bracknell Town was a hard one to swallow- we were turned over by the Robins at Larges Lane after an even 2-2 draw at Imperial Fields.

3. How will you do this season?

I think the Terrors will be able to maintain a position in the playoff spots this season. Hopefully we might even challenge for the title.

4. Which matches are you most looking forward to going to- and why?

We had two tense matches with Bracknell Town so look forward to another. Chipstead are our closest rivals so I’m also looking forward to our matches with them.

5. What is your favourite away ground?

It has to be Alwyns Lane of Chertsey Town. I visited the quaint ground during the Curfew's FA Vase run- it was a great setup and I’m look forward to visiting again.

6. Who do you consider your biggest rivals- and why?

Chipstead would have take their place as our rivals. They play just over the South London/Surrey Border and we've played each other numerous times.

7. What advice would you give to any away supporter visiting you for the first time?

Come early. The buses in the area can be a little dodgy. There is great food available at our ground so there’s every reason to arrive early!

8. Who is your favourite player of all time (for your club)- and why?

Danny Bassett. His technical flair and exquisite shooting capabilities have been a key asset to the Terrors since he's been with us, and will be a threat to all defenders this coming season.

9. Who will be in the top five at the end of the season?

Bracknell Town, Harlow Town, Marlow, Tooting & Mitcham Utd, Westfield

Right, you've read Robert’s thoughts, do you want to be next? If you'd like to represent your club, then please send an email to townsendaround@gmail.com and we shall see what we can do!
