BetVictor Isthmian League- supporters predictions 2019/20: Kingstonian

For the rest of this week we’ll be focusing on Premier Division predictions, as the season starts on Saturday for our top tier. We’re staying in Tolworth, although our featured club on this occasion would remind you that it is the London Borough of Kingst

We asked supporters of our BetVictor Isthmian League clubs to preview the new season, reflect on the old and predict the final outcome. Their predicted 1-20 (or 22) will be worked into a final table which you will see just before the big kick off.

Kingstonian supporter Ollie Underwood tells us why the K’s are special.

1. What was your favourite moment of last season?

Bishop’s Stortford away, we reached 2nd place in the table in January.

2. And your worst moment?

Lewes Away. The trip down was good, and the takeover of a local pub, but as soon as we were queuing to get into the ground the problems started. There were more problems from our side inside the ground, with constant arguments. It wouldn’t be right to say what happened but it was awful and horrible.

3. How will you do this season?

Better than last season, Playoffs hopefully.

4. Which matches are you most looking forward to going to- and why?

Horsham, Folkestone and Corinthian Casuals. Two are new grounds (for me) and the other is the borough derby which is a good day- especially if you win.

5. What is your favourite away ground?

Worthing – it’s near the station and the beach, plus it’s a nice ground.

6. Who do you consider your biggest rivals- and why?

Sutton United and AFC Wimbledon, but in our league, we have a ‘friendlyish’ rivalry with Corinthian-Casuals. Both of us want to beat and finish above the other one. We managed to beat them home and away but they finished above us.

7. What advice would you give to any away supporter visiting you for the first time?

The walk from the Tolworth Broadway or the station to the ground is a bit of a long walk- and feels never ending.

8. Who is your favourite player of all time (for your club)- and why?

Rob Tolfrey, he’s a Ks legend. Much loved by all the Ks fans and hopefully he’ll break the Kingstonian appearance record- currently held by Mickey Preston with 555 appearances. He’ll celebrate 10 years at Kingstonian on November 1st.

9. Who will be in the top five at the end of the season?

Margate, Worthing, Kingstonian, Folkestone Invicta, Haringey Borough

Right, you've read Ollie’s views, and our Premier Division predicted League table will appear on Saturday. If you'd like to represent your Step Four club (we’ve no time for any more Premier League predictions that aren’t already in the pipeline), then please send an email to townsendaround@gmail.com and we shall see what we can do!
