Carshalton Athletic’s reward for knocking Salisbury City out of the FA Trophy on Saturday is a fabulous home draw against Barnet in the Third Round.
The Bees, who of course are also going well in the FA Cup having knocked Sheffield United out of the competition recently, defeated Dorchester Town at the weekend to reach this stage. Darren Currie’s side will head to Colston Avenue on 2nd February.
The National League side will be the highest ranked team the Robins have had to face in the competition, but that’s not to say that Carshalton will be overawed, as they’ve not had a single lower-ranked opponent so far, As well as Salisbury City, their run has seen them defeat Met Police, Harlow Town, Walton Casuals and Dorking Wanderers.
