Bostik Supporters Predictions 18/19: Hertford Town

We asked supporters of our Bostik League clubs to preview the new season, reflect on the old and predict the final outcome. Their predicted 1-20 (or 22) will be worked into a final table which you will see just before the big kick off.

Hertford Town fan Michael Wayling believes his side will win the league, and hardly mentions Ware at all. One of those statements may not be true.

1. What was your favourite moment of last season?

Ware at home. What an atmosphere- a big crowd, a local derby, and when we scored the penalty all of the players ran over to celebrate with the crowd!

2. And your worst moment?

Ware away. Freezing cold, snowing- and even worse, we lost.

3. How will you do this season?

We have a good side. Despite having to play some new teams I think we can make the playoffs- but I also think we’re capable of winning the league.

4. Which matches are you most looking forward to going to- and why?

Ware home and away. There’s nothing like a local derby.

5. What is your favourite away ground?

I like Aveley- but I think I’ll go with Canvey Island.

6. Who do you consider your biggest rivals- and why?

Ware. They’re only ten minutes down the road and I don’t like them.

7. What advice would you give to any away supporter visiting you for the first time?

Come early, have a beer in the bar, watch the early game on TV, and try the amazing food in the trailer. And enjoy the atmosphere, it’s always excellent.

8. Who is your favourite player of all time (for your club)- and why?
Tommy Wade- over 200 games for the club; a top player and a top guy

9. Who will be in the top five at the end of the season?

Hertford Town, Cheshunt, Hayes & Yeading, Marlow, Waltham Abbey
